C-Level’s ultra-committed CEO Jeffrey Scott became so involved that he joined our board of directors in 2010.

C-Level Management co-hosts Lunch and Learn Seminar, today, in Anaheim, CA. Seminar attendees, C-Level Staff and Advanced Image Direct employees packaged 25,000 meals for Stop Hunger Now.

In partnership with salesforce.com, C-Level Management hosts quarterly Lunch and Learn Seminars that present current information about Salesforce product updates and add-on applications to customers and prospects in Southern California. Each lunch and learn seminar is co-hosted by one of the Southern California Salesforce User Groups. The two-hour seminar is followed by a four-hour volunteer activity that engages members of the hosting user group, seminar attendees as well as friends and family to join together to package dry-ingredient meal packages for Stop Hunger Now.
Advanced Image Direct, a leading-edge direct mail production facility, hosted today’s meal packaging event at their state-of-the-art facility in Fullerton, CA. Advanced Image Direct is the creator of the popular Cloud2You application, a Salesforce AppExchange application giving users the ability to initiate printed direct mail directly from a lead or contact within Salesforce.

Frank Verrill, CEO of Advanced Image Direct/Cloud2You, said, “Following in C-Level’s example, we have increased our annual charitable donations and our employees have each personally become involved in giving-back to our community. Stepping up our involvement in giving-back has had an incredibly positive outcome for everyone in our company. “

The meals packaged for Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger and aid relief organization, are shipped to third-world nations and distributed through school feeding programs or are sent to areas that have recently been affected by a natural disaster. The countries served by Stop Hunger Now lack the internal infrastructure due to political strife or rampant malnutrition of its population to offer adequate food supplies to its residents.

C-Level’s partnership with Stop Hunger Now has played an instrumental role in establishing a significant West Coast presence for the North Carolina-based Non-Profit Organization. Meal packaging events now occur several times a month on the west coast. Mickey Horner, the West Coast Regional Operations Manager, has launched an initiative to package 1,000,000 meals in Southern California in 2011.

C-Level Management is a certified Salesforce.com professional services organization focused on systems integration and application development. At the heart of the C-Level business practice is a dedication to the pursuit and education of philanthropic awareness. C-Level Management has an on-going partnership with the BigBrothers/BigSisters organizations in Orange County, San Diego and the San Francisco Bay Area. C-Level Management also plays a strategic advisory role in the information and technology operations and domestic expansion of Stop Hunger Now.

Join C-Level Management, Salesforce.com and the San Diego Salesforce User Group for a Lunch and Learn Seminar on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the La Jolla Marriott. C-Level will introduce a new seminar topic, the Business Productivity Cloud, a collaborative model of cloud-based business operations utilizing social media communications.

The Salesforce.com Foundation has selected Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger and aid relief organization, to execute a 500,000 meal packaging event at the Salesforce.com annual user and developer conference, Dreamforce Global Gathering 2010 in San Francisco, December 6 – 9.

SAN FRANCISCO, December 6, 2010/ Stop Hunger Now is bringing the worldwide crisis of hunger to the spotlight this week by staging a ground-breaking event within the high-technology community. The vision of the Salesforce Foundation to “give forward to the community through volunteerism;” aligns perfectly with Stop Hunger Now’s goal to educate and engage as many conference attendees as possible. The attendees will learn that we live in a world where 925 million people live without consistent daily sources for food.”Every six seconds a child dies from malnutrition,” said Rod Brooks, CEO of Stop Hunger Now. “Partnering with the Salesforce.com Foundation enables us to educate thousands of individuals from businesses around the world. We believe with the spirit and level of engagement the Salesforce.com community offers, we’ll make a measurable impact in our mission to end world hunger in our lifetime.”

Stop Hunger Now is able to respond rapidly and is often one of the first organizations to provide immediate sustenance and medical supplies after a natural disaster – such as in Haiti and Pakistan. The meals packaged at Dreamforce are bound for Indonesia. Meals packaged to date and the countries who have received direct aid can be tracked using a salesforce.com (Force.com) integrated Google Maps application found at here.

Stop Hunger Now has been staging meal packaging events for 5 years. To date, they have packaged more than 34 million meals. “This is not a topic that’s easy to talk about. It’s difficult to hear the facts and easy to feel powerless to change the outcomes. We believe the experiential nature of a meal packaging event turns caring individuals into passionate champions in creating a movement to end hunger.” Brooks said.

One of the anticipated outcomes of the meal packaging event is that individuals with a heightened awareness of this issue will go back to their communities and organize meal packaging events in their schools, churches or community groups.

SHN is considered a non-profit business success story. The organization’s I/T operations, built primarily on the Force.com and Google Apps platforms, allowed the organization to transfer its traditional software-based IT business operations to a 100% cloud-based SaaS model. Reflecting back on decisions made three years ago, Brooks feels without the power of these platforms and their incredible non-profit support offerings, the organization would struggle to maintain its impressive 3% operating cost track record. “The addition of Salesforce Chatter is changing the way we communicate throughout our organization and is allowing real-time visibility into our day to day operations,” Brooks added.

C-Level Management, Inc. (c-levelmgmt.com), a professional services implementation partner, and a strategic business advisor to Stop Hunger Now through its giving-back philanthropic program, heads the roster of Salesforce partners who are supporting this event. The others include, AppExtremes, Inc. (appextremes.com), Centerstance (centerstance.com), Cloud2You (cloud2you.com), EchoSign (echosign.com), FinancialForce (financialforce.com), plus Shutterfly (shutterfly.com) and CompTIA (comptia.org).

“After successful completion of this event, Stop Hunger Now will launch its corporate events initiative, where they will orchestrate meal packaging events at major industry conferences and tradeshows. This will accelerate the organization’s goal of packaging 100 million meals by 2012,” said Jeff Scott, CEO of C-Level Management.

About Stop Hunter Now
Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. The organization is driven by a vision to end world hunger in our lifetime and a mission to provide food and life-saving aid to the world’s most destitute and hungry in the most sustainable, efficient and effective manner.

Stop Hunger Now’s meal packaging program provides volunteers the opportunity to package dehydrated, high protein, and highly nutritious meals that are used in crisis situations and in school feeding programs for schools and orphanages in developing countries around the world.
In its efforts to respond to global emergency needs, Stop Hunger Now receives and distributes significant donations of in-kind aid. These donations are large quantities of food, medicine, medical supplies and other such items as may be of use in fighting hunger and providing relief in crisis situations.

The Salesforce.com Foundation (http:www.salesforcefoundation.org), the global leader in integrating philanthropy and business, today announced the growing success of its mission to inspire companies around the world to give 1% of their resources forward to support organizations that are making the world a better place. Today, hundreds of companies of all sizes including Atlassian, C-Level Management, FinancialForce.com, Google, LiveOps, NewVoiceMedia and Seal Shield have adopted salesforce.com’s unique 1/1/1 integrated corporate philanthropy model (http://www.salesforcefoundation.org/sharethemodel) where 1% of a company’s time, 1% of its equity and 1% of its products are given forward to the community.

The 1/1/1 Model

The idea behind salesforce.com’s1/1/1 model is to harness the power of a company’s resources, such as the intellectual wealth of its employees, technology or products and financial resources to improve communities and promote compassionate capitalism. When all three elements are deployed together, companies can ensure a dedicated focus and greater impact on the nonprofits and causes whose missions they’re trying to empower.

Using the 1/1/1 model, salesforce.com has given:

1% Time: Salesforce.com employees are awarded 6 paid days of volunteer time to use over the course of a year. To date, 178,000 hours have been donated by employees.

1% Product: The Salesforce.com Foundation facilitates the donation and discount of Salesforce CRM licenses to nonprofits helping them to increase their operating effectiveness and focus more resources on their core mission. 8,000 nonprofits in 70 countries are benefiting from these licenses today.

1% Equity: Using 1% of founding stock to offer grants focused on technology innovation in nonprofits and youth development programs, salesforce.com has given nearly $20 million in grants to qualified nonprofits.

Accelerated Adoption of the Model

C-Level Management (http://www.c-levelmgmt.com/giving-back) – Founder Jeff Scott of this cloud technology and business optimization consulting firm writes the company’s annual business plan to support its “Giving Back” program philanthropy goals, and is leading other companies to do the same. In 2010, C-Level will issue in-kind consulting grants valued at over $125,000, provide consulting and technical services at a reduced rate to all qualified nonprofits and higher education institutions, and will donate 50 percent of all salesforce.com technology license commissions to nonprofits.

FinancialForce.com (http://www.FinancialForce.com) – The US and UK-based company is adopting 1-1 of salesforce.com’s model, 1% of its product and 1% of employees’ time. FinancialForce.com is offering discounted full accounting licenses of its cloud-based accounting technology and discounted consulting services to Salesforce.com Foundation customers. As part of the offering, they will also donate up to 10 free read only licenses for CRM users to view financial data. This powerful capability enables fundraisers and managers to gain a 360-degree view of their constituents.

LiveOps (http://www.liveops.com) – LiveOps has built its Foundation on salesforce.com’s 1/1/1 model. It plans to set aside approximately 1% of current outstanding shares to be used to fund its foundation after a liquidity event. It offers gifts of cash supporting grants for organizations that its employees support, grants for business partners and a matching gift policy of up to $500 per employee per year. Lastly, LiveOps offers the gift of time by enabling its employees to volunteer on average 1% of their time to an organization of their choice and participate in company-sponsored events.

NewVoiceMedia (http://www.newvoicemedia.com/) – NewVoiceMedia, a leading provider of intelligent telephony solutions based in the United Kingdom with operations in more than 20 countries, recently launched its 1/1/1 model. The company is giving three days of volunteer time, donating five licenses of its call center and speakserve.com products including training and support, and providing discounts for qualified charities. It also established its own foundation and plans to provide grants.

Seal Shield (http://www.sealshield.com/) – Inspired by Marc Benioff’s presentation on the 1/1/1 model at Dreamforce, salesforce.com’s customer and developer conference, this manufacturer of washable technology solutions recently featured on Good Morning America has implemented the 1/1/1 model in a way that fits the company’s size and geographically-disperse organization. For 1% of time, Seal Shield employees are participating in Disney’s “Give a Day, Get a Day” volunteering program; for 1% of product, it is donating its washable, antimicrobial keyboards and mice to the local library system; and, for 1% of equity, it is planning to set aside 1% of its corporate equity in the form of warrants so it may fund its own foundation.

Comments on the News:

“Ten years ago, salesforce.com set out to change the way companies think about philanthropy, and today more than ever it continues to define our focus,” said Suzanne DiBianca, executive director, Salesforce.com Foundation. “The hundreds of other companies that have joined us in giving their resources forward to empower nonprofits to realize their missions are truly exemplary of the power that business has to affect positive change.”

“Our values of service, mentoring, and giving back are embedded in the core foundation of our company,” said Jeff Scott, founder, C-Level Management. “Salesforce.com’s 1/1/1 model gave us the framework to build a sustainable program to bring our values to life.”

“Our vision is to help charities of all sizes to benefit from the latest cloud computing technology,” said Jeremy Roche, president and CEO, FinancialForce.com. “Many charities, even smaller ones, need to accommodate complex financial requirements, but their budgets will generally only stretch to lower-end packaged systems which frequently do not meet their needs. We hope to change that.”

“LiveOps is dedicated to reducing the barriers for those in the community that desire to make a better life for themselves,” said Maynard Webb, chairman and CEO of LiveOps. ”Through the 1/1/1 model, LiveOps can make a collective difference and increase our involvement in causes that are important to our employees, our independent agent community, customers and partners.”

“NewVoiceMedia, inspired by Marc Benioff and with advice from the Salesforce.com Foundation’s International Director Isabel Kelly, is delighted to be launching its own 1/1/1/ model foundation,” said Jessica Strachwitz Hamilton, Foundation Director, NewVoiceMedia. “It has been received with enthusiasm from our team, who are keen to give back, volunteer and donate our solutions.”

“Seal Shield prides itself on excellence and teamwork, and the 1/1/1 philosophy struck me as a great concept and way for our company to differentiate and to give something back to the community,” said Bradley Whitchurch, CEO and chairman, Seal Shield. “Marc Benioff helped give us direction and now it’s taking off within our organization and even having an impact with customers.”

The 1/1/1 model harnesses the power of salesforce.com’s people and technology through 1% Time, 1% Equity and 1% Product to increase the effectiveness of nonprofits in pursuing their social missions. Since the Foundation’s inception in 1999, employees have given more than 178,000 hours of their time; more than 8,000 nonprofits in 70 countries are using donated and discounted Salesforce CRM licenses as part of the Foundation’s 1% Product Donation Program http://www.salesforcefoundation.org/product/?PR=02232010; and numerous organizations are benefiting from technology-related grants.

‘TQ Giving Back’ offers charitable organizations significantly discounted – and in some cases, free – access to human capital consulting services and talent management software solutions.

ATLANTA, February 4, 2010 – TalentQuest, a human capital management and software solutions firm, today introduces a new strategic approach to supporting the communities in which it operates. TQ Giving Back will enable qualified nonprofit organizations to take advantage of the same value-added software solutions and consulting services it provides businesses like Coca-Cola Enterprises, Cbeyond, Coldwell Banker, The Federal Reserve Bank, KPMG, Mizuno, Morgan Stanley, Mueller Water Products and Tech Data, at a fraction of the cost.

“We recognize that the work that nonprofit organizations do is incredibly important,” said Dr. Frank Merritt, TalentQuest’s CEO. “As such, we have always encouraged and supported our employees’ involvement in the community. Over the years this level of support has evolved to include contributions of our consultants’ professional time and discounted access to our software on a case-by-case basis.”

For many years, TalentQuest has been working with select nonprofit organizations on a discounted or free basis, including The Atlanta Union Mission, The Georgia Cancer Coalition, East Atlanta Kids Club, North Avenue Presbyterian Church, The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, The Special Olympics, Planned Parenthood, The Atlanta Opera, 21st Century Leaders and Junior Achievement of Georgia.

“Although we have always been proud of these contributions, we felt we could have an even greater impact with an organized, strategic approach to donating our time and services,” said Ann Evangelista, managing director of consulting services for TalentQuest’s Atlanta office. “TQ Giving Back takes our commitment to the next level, ensuring that our services and solutions are made available to all qualified nonprofit organizations, not just those with which our employees are personally involved.”

Below is a summary of the opportunities available to nonprofit organizations and the contributions that TalentQuest will make via its TQ Giving Back program.

Qualified organizations will be provided access to TalentQuest’s software solutions at a 50 percent discount (including online assessments, performance management tools, organizational surveys, compensation management tools and 360 reviews).

TalentQuest will donate up to $100,000 in consulting services each year through a grant program. Qualified organizations may submit applications for grants which will be reviewed by a committee comprised of TalentQuest employees as well as select clients and nonprofit leaders. Each will be considered on a case-by-case basis and grants will be awarded according to services needed.

TalentQuest will donate up to $100,000 in consulting services and software solutions each year through a client appreciation program. As a token of the firm’s appreciation of their continued support, select TalentQuest clients will be given vouchers that they may pass along to nonprofit organizations of their choice. The organizations may apply these vouchers toward a variety of consulting services including board reviews, selection assessments, executive coaching and leadership development, or to TalentQuest’s software solutions including online assessments, performance reviews or compensation management, as desired.

TalentQuest will continue to support and encourage its employees’ individual contributions of time, providing four paid hours per month to volunteer at an organization of their choice. TalentQuest employees contribute approximately 1,500 volunteer hours each year to hundreds of organizations in all areas of service, including arts and sciences, health, the environment, technology, social justice and organizations providing services for women and children.

In difficult times like these, it is more important than ever to remember how fortunate we are and to share what we have – be it our time, our skills or our financial resources – with others,” said Merritt. “TalentQuest is committed to creating meaningful change in the communities we serve. We look forward to helping nonprofit organizations create a positive, performance-based culture of recognition and reward and to enabling their leaders to focus less time and energy on talent management issues and more on accomplishing their organizations’ important missions.”

About TalentQuest

TalentQuest has been strengthening organizational performance and advancing leadership for almost 40 years by blending the art of consulting with the science of technology. The company’s consultants and organizational psychologists deliver fully-integrated human capital management consulting and talent management solutions that span the entire employee lifecycle—from talent selection to leadership succession—enabling organizations to maximize the value of their investment in people.
